Congratulations to Blaine Reeder, Kasia Wilamowska and George Demiris who have been accepted as symposium presenters at the International Society for Gerontechnology 7^th World Conference in Vancouver, British Columbia, from May 27-30, 2010.  Presentations in a themed panel called "Non-obtrusive technologies to support shared decision making in gerontology" will be based on research from the HEALTH-E project (http://www.health-e.info). 

We are pleased to announce that the NLM has awarded an STTR (Small Business Technology Transfer) grant to BHI in partnership with Clark & Parsia, LLC.  The grant is titled, "A Synthetic Biology Library for the Semantic Web," and will be led collaboratively by John Gennari and Evrin Sirin (of Clark & Parsia).  

Andrea Civan has been accepted to participate in the WISH (Workshop on Interactive Systems in Healthcare) Mentoring Program at this year's ACM Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems (CHI'10).
